10. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
If you want to see jaw dropping graphics, look no further than Ratchet & Clank.  And for anyone who’s enjoyed games like Jak & Daxter and the previous Ratchet & Clank series on the PS2, this is a no brainer.  The power of the PS3 shines here with flawless graphics, brilliant audio, and challenging action/puzzle game play that will leave you saying “Now this is why I bought a PS3!”.  Did I mention its already on the Greatest Hits list for only $30?

9. MotorStorm
Even if you don’t like racing games, this one needs to be in your collection.  The graphics are amazing (and reason enough just to have the game) and the physics will keep you entertained for quite some time.  A launch title that boasts some excellent online play as well as overall fun.  Its one of those racers that is just too hard to put down, and chances are you’ve played the demo unit years ago in your local Best Buy store.  This one is another $30 Greatest Hit, and has a big brother sequel, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, that continues the visually stunning yet destructive path.

8. Resistance 2
This is a fantastic shooter that completely revamps the already astonishing original launch title in everything from game play to story and all the delicious graphical goodness in between.  60 player online battles and up to 8 player co-op campaigns will keep this one the system rotation for quite some time.

7. Heavenly Sword
For all you God of War fans out there that need a fix while waiting for GOW3 to release next year, this is the title for you. Very similar style of game play but with a female lead and some great use of the SIXAXIS functionality of the PS3 controller. Also a notable performance from Andy Serkis (Golem from Lord of the Rings) as one of the lead characters that really bring this game to life. Only downside to this game is that it is on the short side in terms of game play hours, but that only means that you wish there was more of this great title to play.

6. Warhawk
This was one of the titles that was around during release of the system and is just plain fun. From ground combat to tanks to planes, this game has it all. The flight element is simple but superb and one thing the game does well is balance the ability to fight between ground, air, and vehicle combat. A troop with a rocket launcher can take down a plane and vice versa. Some people might be hesitant to pick a title that is online only, but since it now is in the Greatest Hits lineup, there is no reason not to pickup this 3rd person battle royal.

5. inFAMOUS
Open world sandbox that mashes up parkour and ethical dilemmas. This game lets you decided to be either good or evil and rewards your decisions with different upgradable powers based on your choices. Playing through as good warrants a completely different experience to that of the evil path which makes for 2 complete games right off the bat.

4. Killzone 2
This is one of the best shooters to hit the system and is proudly displayed as an exclusive. With tons of trophies to unlock and abilities to skill up, this game has a very high replay value after completing the single player campaign. Visually, this game is spot on and quite a stunning display of the capabilities of the PS3. Also they have released 4 brand new multiplayer maps as well as new weapons and trophies through DLC to keep the game fresh. And trust me, when you get hit with a remote C4 land mine, you’ll be itching to level up and unlock that ability to unleash on your enemies as well.

3. Metal Gear Solid 4
Hands down, a must have title for the PS3. The great thing here is that it satisfies the hardcore Metal Gear fan as well as the newbie who is hopping into the series for the first time. No prior knowledge needed, but the plot continues in the epic cinematic game play experience you’ve come to know and love from one of the legends of videogame production, Hideo Kojima.

2. Uncharted
If you ever played Tomb Raider and were a fan, this is the game for you. The story alone will have you immersed in the rich lavish environments, and the 3rd person quick paced action/adventure game play leaves you on the edge of your seat in anticipation for this year’s sequel. I literally have played this one through 3 different times and find its replayability quite high. The sequel releases this October and is slated to use 100% of the PS3’s power and includes multiplayer. This
game is breathtaking and very well put together from the team that brought us Crash Bandicoot for the original Playstation. They’ve come a long way since then and this duck-and-cover based action shooter doesn’t disappoint.

1. Little Big Planet
This title takes the premise of the side scroller to a whole new level. Aside from the ridiculous amount of fun traversing through the included levels, and collecting the hidden costumes, stickers, and design tools, the community aspect of this game reaches new heights. With over 1 million user created levels, from original ideas to classic Nintendo game recreations and beyond, the average Joe can become a video game developer with the greatest of ease. This game also features up to 4 players either locally or online together on the same level, which can often unlock hidden items in levels by working together as a team. Now with game of the year edition available, with $30 worth of DLC included and 18 custom levels from amateur game developers, this is a system seller.
