Laforda was launched in October 2009 as a weblog dedicated to creating a relaxed environment to share and discuss opinion. The main purpose of the site is to be a one stop shop for news and opinion. A user does not have to leave Laforda for any form of media/opinion. Laforda provides stories from across the world and displays the news in certain categories. Many of the stories are in a blog format and escape the dull writing of conventional news. Unique news from individual authors separates Laforda from any other news site.
